Dishonesty, deception, egocentric, arrogance, selfishness, apathy, unreliability, disloyalty, rage, etc are examples of negative inherent qualities.

If you try to force someone whose inherent quality is lying and cheating…to stop lying and cheating and treat you with respect…that’s when you just got the shovel out to dig yourself your own grave.

You cannot force some one to change their inherent qualities.
Their bad behaviors are a reflection of their own trauma…their own upbringing…it has NOTHING to do with you.
Inherent qualities are permanently ingrained in us.

If you are with a person who is inherently dishonest and untrustworthy…lying and cheating is always on the table…they have made that their perogative.
It is a cowardly easy way out for them…because they know that will hurt the other person at the core…it will hurt their dignity.
They are apathetic to others.
If you accept it once…it will happen again and again.

If you find yourself in a place where you have to exert so much effort or try to manipulate a full grown human to ‘behave’…be a good person…or treat you with respect…you are now digging yourself your own grave.
Time to rethink your strategy…and remove yourself from that interaction.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to teach a full grown adult basic inherent good behaviors…like being kind, loyal, honest, trustworthy, consistent, reliable etc….that ship has sailed.
You cannot force people to change their inherent qualities…good or bad.
